Convert avi to vob??

I'm thinking of converting several of my avi films to vob, copy them onto a dvd-r as vob files, so there are several films on a dvd. But can't find any programs that convert avi to vob...can any1 help?? also wondering how i can make a menu screen for the dvd so i can choose which film to watch..Any ideas or comments please??!?!??

Use TMPGEnc to create MPEG-2 and a DVD authoring prog.Click on DVD Digest on the top of the screen,then on DVDR Digest.
