avi to vob???

I have a few films in avi format. I was wondering if it is possible
to convert the files to vob so i can put them on dvd+r. i do not have the origanal vobs as i downloaded the movies from the net.
any help wopuld be appreciated

1) Use TMPGEnc's DVD "wizard/template to convert to appropriate formats

THEN

2) Use DVD authoring software (DVD Wise or similar)
