    Adding Chapters with INFo edit

    Hello

A small question. If I have a long MPEG-2 file like 3 hours. It can be converted to DVD files using "INFOedit" using the New DVD author menu. InfoEdit makes all the files and folders.

How can I add chapters, meaning how can I put a break in the move like after every 25 minutes, so it s easy to advance. Other wise I have to fast forward all the movie to get to a certain point

I know there ia a way in INFOedit buy putting a CFF... file or something when using the NEW DVD author menu.

    Thanks

    Hi,

    it's quite simple.
You need to edit a file that's called CELLTIMES.TXT.
(The correct Filename is also shown in the dialog-box in ifo-edit)

You edit your chapters like this:

    1000
    2000
    3000

    and so on.

The value (eg '1000') must be calculated because '1' seems to be one frame, at least that's the result of my trial and error.

A Chaptermark at 1:00 minute would be in NTSC:

    29,975 frames per second * 60 seconds = 1798

In PAL you have to change the fps to 25 = 1500.

You can add as many chapters as you like.

Depending on the fps of your mpeg2-file it may take some testing.

    Good Luck
