    Nero DVD-VIdeo/DVD UDF/ISO

    I have Nero 5.5.10.28.

I recently tryed to burn some DVD useing nero, when I used the DVD-Video mode I couldn,t get a single one to play on my standalone player. I made several attemps on a rewritable.
Useing a Ulead program I burned some that worked fine.
After checking the DVD's properties useing windows explore I noticed that it said something about UDF format so I set Nero to DVD-iso/udf with the force video compatable mode and all the dvds I burn work fine on my player and several other players belonging to friends.

My question is does the DVD-Video mode work for most people? Is it just a quirk of my standalone the it won,t play this mode?
I checked the DVD player copatability listing and there is no mention of this problem.

Also is there any reason I shouldn't just always use the DVD-ISO/UDF format?

The "DVD-Video" mode has been rock solid for me since v.5.5.10.

If the ISO/UDF mode works for you then, by all means, continue to use it.

AS far as I know, "the force video compatible mode" only affects playback on the XBox...

I had the same problem. When I used UDF/ISO instead of Video two DVD players accepted Nero-burnt DVDs which did previously not.
