    AVI to DVD

I have been trying to convert a 650mb AVI video to a DVD video and the processing time takes almost 24 hours. Does anybody know if this is the average time it takes to do this type of conversion or do I need to find another piece of software? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

    1) What is your system configuration?

    2) What software, procedures, and settings are you using to make the conversion?

      AVI to DVD

I am using an 850mhz AMD processor with 320mb ram.

The software that I have used is Instant CD/DVD and Ulead Video Studio 7. Both pieces of software take an incredible amount of time to an AVI to DVD. As for the settings, I did not change them from their default settings.

        With your processor:

        1) If you use "TMPGEnc" (use its DVD template/wizard) to convert the .AVI to compliant DVD format, it should take approximately 7 to 10 hours

        2) If you then use "TMPGEnc DVD Author" (a different program) to create the proper DVD structure and required files, it should take approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour
