    8mm digital to dvd

    i was wondering if after i capture my video is there a way i can capture so it doesnt have to convert it to dvd.It takes like and hour to 2 hours.And if yes whats the best record settings for a dvd Thanks for any help

    Im not sure i follow you. You want to capture your 8mm video, put it on to DVD, but not convert it to DVD format? If this is what you want, put the captured files on DVD in data mode. You will be able to store, but not watch on a DVD player. I cant see why you would want to do that though. 2 hours converting to DVD isnt that bad!

      thanks for the answer back.I want to convert them to dvd so i can watch them.I didnt now if there was a way to capture them to dvd format. so i didnt have to convert them.I guess the answer is you must copy to hard drive then convert Thanks Mathew

        Yeah basically, use your capture board tog et them to the hard drive and then convert to mpeg2 and then DVD Format. Enclose in a VIDEO_TS folder and burn as DVD ROM UDF/ISO in Nero or Data in Record NOw Deluxe
