4 hours of video - ok how much space does it take ?

You can fit up to 4.7 GB of video on a Blank DVD recordable disk. depending on which brand you buy

I'm assuming you have 4 hours of continuous video:

      1) Create ALL required DVD files (.IFOs, .BUPs, .VOBs) in one folder on your hard drive - Don't worry about the total filesize for now

      2) Use DVD Shrink (or similar) to compress total filesize to less than 4.37Gb

      3) Burn

As I said in my initial response,

"Use DVD Shrink (or similar) to compress total filesize to less than 4.37Gb..."
