    Downmix AC3 6ch -> 2ch ; or upmix 2ch -> 6ch

    hi all,

    yesterday I bought the "Natural Born Kilers - Directors Cut" DVD.

    There are 2 DVD's in the Package:
    1. the movie DVD.
    2. the bonus DVD with outtakes and unofficial scenes.

    the scenes on the bonus DVD are so awesome, that I like to make a "Directors Cut - SPECIAL EDITION" with all scenes together...

    I ripped both DVD's with DVD Shrink 2.3 and 50% compression. no special options.
    Then I use "TMPEnc DVD Author 1.5.13" to mix the both ripped DVDs.

    Then I get an ERROR: the AC3 Sound of the movie disc is 6ch and the AC3 Sound of the bonus disc is 2ch...

    now my question:

    can anybody tell me a way to downmix a DVD-Shrink-RIP from AC3(6ch) -> AC3(2ch) ???

      good idea, thanx 4 the fast answer,

      but I want to mix the single chapters from the movie/bonus DVDs:

      example:

      FinalDVD-Chapter : SourceDisc - SourceChapter
      chapter1 : MovieDisc - Chapter1
      chapter2 : MovieDisc - Chapter2
      chapter3 : BonusDisc - Chapter4
      chapter4 : MovieDisc - Chapter3
      chapter5 : MovieDisc - Chapter4
      chapter6 : BonusDisc - Chapter6
      .
      .
      .


      when i use the "track" function in "TMPEGEnc DVD", i have every source DVD in one track, no possibility to mix the single chapters....


      any ideas for me?

          Check out BeSweet. It can down mix to 2 ch ac3. It can also go the other way but that is a little more involved. It is freeware made by DSPGuru. Go to his site and also download its Gui made by Dannidin

                  by the way:

                  I solved the problem with the 6ch vs. 2ch sound!
                  Just create different tracks for each part in TMPEGEnc DVD Ed.
                  when you create the menue, select "only main menue" in the "Menue Display settings".
