    ifo file doesn't work correctly

    Hi,

I have a big, big problem! I have created a menu with DVD Lab which works fine on my software player (InterVideo WinDVD), but when I burn it on a DVD, some StandAlone DVD Player are not able to load this menu correctly!
On one player the complete DVD is black/white. It does show the menu when you insert the DVD, but you are not able to navigate through it - looks like a frozen, black/white menu...
Another Player has no problems to read this DVD correctly - but I'm going to duplicate this DVD and sell it (~300 DVD's).
I've sent the DVD to the firm, which duplicate the DVD, but they said to me, that the menu does not work - they are not able to read it correctly!

I think that the ifo File could be corrupt. Have you an idea why this problem exists? I've burned the DVD with Nero Burning ROM 6.0 in DVD Video Mode.

It is very important for me, that I find a solution for this problem - otherwise I'm not able to sell this DVD (it is a children theater - nothing commercial )

    Thanks a lot!!!

If you're using NERO v.6.0.0.0, update immediately, as this version is extremely flawed...

I've installed the Update, but the Error still remains. I think that the ifo file is corrupt, but I can't explain me why...
I've created the Menu with DVD Lab - like many others do. And I don't think that the program creates corrupt ifo files :-/
I've got Version 1.1 of DVD Lab -> does this matter?

You are my last chance - please help me!
        Thanks a lot!!!

Okay - installed version 1.3 - nothing changes...
everytime I put the DVD in my standalone player the menu appears and freezes. The "Time Display (00:00:00)" is flashish while the menu is active -> when I load the movies manually, everythings fine...

          Has anybody an idea?

The sheer fact that it worked in one player suggests to me it's a media problem. Have you tried DVD±RW?
This isn't a learning curve ... this is b****y mountaineering!

              I've tried DVD+R, DVD-R and DVD+RW

But the business, which duplicate the DVD's, aren't able to read this DVD correctly! And I don't think that these people has bad hardware -> I sent a DVD-R to them.

                Most baffling! Two suggestions:
Have you checked your burner manufacturer for a newer firmware?
Have you tried an alternative menu maker, eg TMPGEnc DVD Author? or just Nero for that matter?
This isn't a learning curve ... this is b****y mountaineering!

Nero isn't my menu maker! As I told my menu maker is DVD Lab!
But I didn't tried another Menu Designer Program.
I'm going to check my burner manufacturer for a newer firmware -> thanks!
