Hi,
i'm a bit new to all this so please bear with me if i'm not quite up to speed.
Here's the problem.
I have got a number of avi files containing both video and audio.
When i burn to these to dvd using Win DVD Creator i select the Dolby Digital sound option but some don't have any sound when i then try to play them. They did before.
I used Gspot to look at the files and all the files thar are giving me jip have ac3 sound in avi format. Is that part of the problem?
Is there any better authoring software. I'm not bothered about menu's i just want the discs to autoplay.
And since we're all here i may as well ask my next question. Why the degredation in quality. I heard it was because there are filters running when i watch it as an avi on pc which you obviously don't get when running on a standalone as a DVD. Can't you get the filter to upgrade the file when it runs as an avi? Like i say i'm a newbie to all this and i'm sure that one is a really stupid question.
Look forward to your replies.
