    Joining 2 mpg files.

    hi
i have 2 mpg files which i need to join & make 1 dvd movie.
i tried the trial version of avi_mpg_rm_joiner which seemed to do the job, plays back fine with zoomplayer, except a slight glitch where the join was.

I then went onto TMPGEnc Plus 2.5 to encode the complete movie file ready to be transfered to TMPGEnc DVD Author.

when the re encoding process reaches the join (50% complete) the video image doesnt change for the duration of the movie, though the encoding process continues fine. same with regular playback.

i would usually scan the video file for errors using Virtual dub, but it wont accept an mpg file.
not sure what else i can try

    any ideas?
    thanks

Instead of using "avi_mpg_rm_joiner", use TMPGEncPlus to join, as follows:

    TMPGEncPlus>>File>>MPEGTools>>Merge&Cut

          I have 1 more question

when TMPGEnc encodes a file, it splits the audio & video and saves them as seperate files. how do i change this?

          you d man

          happy holidays

scrap last question, i just noticed that TMPGEnc DVD Author auto adds the audio file

            dvd creation just gets easier
