    Newbie here...
I'm having a similar problem with missing audio. I'm sure I screwed up something simple here...

I had 7 full vids ranging from 30 minute to 3 hours. I ripped these vids with my ATI 9800 Pro card. I only wanted 2-3 minutes from each. I used TMPGEnc to cut out just the few minutes I wanted and set the output file to Super VCD NTSC. No problem files were nice and small now, audio and video present.

I then wanted to author them to a DVD, so I initially thought TMPGEnc would get me the VOB files, but after waiting 4 hours to re-encode the 7 files to a "DVD NTSC", all I had was a 3 GB MPG file, audio and video present.

After realizing I needed TMPGEnc DVD Author, I added the 1 large .MPG file and setup my menus and create the "dvd".

Finally I took the output in the VIDEO_TS folder and dropped it into Nero and burt the DVD.

End state... Lovely video, NO audio...

Any help would be much appreciated.

      To shfaxx:

When you bring the mpeg file into DVD Author, is there anything listed in the "Audio Settings" section under "Clip Information"?

Yeah, here is the info I see on the file within DVD Author.

        Track #1: Untitled track1
        MPEG2, 720x480 29.97 fps (4:3) NTSC
        MPEG-1 Audio Layer-2, 48000 Hz Stereo, 192 kbps (Monolingual)

It all "looks" correct, but I dunno really what I'm looking for.

        tnx
