    "what can i use to convert the .wav file to an mp2??? i tried doing with an mp3 but i didn't get any sound when i played it."

    Try using a program called "Besweet"

      bro, thanks for your help. i now have a nice mpeg2 file that will hopefully work on idvd or dvd studio pro. thanks for all your help!

      you wouldn't happen to know which of these two programs will be able to import the .mpg and burn it to dvd in it's correct format would you?

        You have to "Author" the DVD first before burning it. In the PC world, use "TMPGENc DVD Author" (different from the regular TMPGENc, which you have already used). Then, if you want to burn it on the Mac platform, I think either idvd, imovie, or Toast will do it. If you stay in the “Windows environment”, I would use Nero to burn-It is fully functional for 30 days.
