    TitleWriter 1.3 beta 2 Titles >>> Settop

    Revisions
Added support to pull text info off target ifo/edit it
    Forcing naming of all titlesets
    Split company/provider into 2 fields
Fixed bug when inserting title segment in V_MAT offset table
Backup DVD is now on at default
    Using sloppy compliancy rules

Hopefully nobody will find ifo that break's this one

?Anybody know if Text table offset at E8 is a Hard pointer to number of entries - Had to use it as a hard pointer to open sloppy ifo's

It still doen't work with that Returner IFO yet. I would ignore it as the program has worked many times on proper DVD backup's as well as my own made ones.

Ignore it, pretend it doesn't exist.

            That's it!

I have no idea how that happened.

                Why do you say that?

You did say the IFO was rather sloppy anyway to begin with.

I think your program is excellent and has progressed extremely well.

Today i got hold of my DVD burner, and I burned one of the films i had been playing with titlewriter: CHICAGO, which i had reauthor with DVDshrink to keep main film & one aditional title (an eliminated scene)
What I got? a coaster, as setop refuses to play it.
I dont remember which version of titlewriter i used, and I also ignore if I did GetVTS with ifoedit, as i have been playing with some rippedDVDs i have on Harddisk.

So, 2nd try, and step by step. Same CHICAGO, I used titlewriter 1.3beta2, injected title, opened IfoEdit, and GotVTSSector.
with cautious this time i, burned into RW media. inserted in my jukebox, and, alas, IT WORKED FLAWLESSLY.

FallenAngel: As I dont know what i did wrong first time, I would like to know if doing GetVTSSector with IFOEDIT is a MUST after using Titlewriter, if it is only advisable, or if it is not needed at all.

                  Thanks for your program

if the movie was a full backup with menus and without a text table a error was introduced in first beta fixed in second.
I haven't used get vts sectors on last 7 discs using beta2 and have had no problems (1 of the discs had no text table and a menu).

Its hard to say - if after selecting target the status line says there isn't a text table on target and you have menus you might wish to do it
haven't run enough discs with menu to have a firm answer - I usually reauthor to just the movie and rarely keep menus extras etc

Get VTS sectors will almost always make modifications to a ifo - even one freshly Shrunk.

Still have a problem as described in the previous thread on version 1.3.

Attached is the original IFO, in case you want to try it yourself.

wingerz - Ill assume you are talking about the entry in output text table (post titlewriter beta2) at 12c. It points to the string to be shown when titleset 5 is played. That dvd only has 4 titlesets. Now that I am forcing naming of all valid titlesets now why waste code on cleaning up areas in template that point to data that can't be ever be called upon. So there is no problem

Sorry, was referring to the problem originally reported in this thread:

Revisions: Added support to add titles to individual Vts titlesets (up to 20) Removed text length restrictions (The overall list has a 1536 char limit) added backup Video_ts.ifo checkbox it will now handle VIDEO_TS.IFO's that have multiple titlessets, menus etc. It will now handle video_ts.Ifo's that already have a

Specifically this section (after using titlewriter to insert the title "BEIJING_BICYCLE"):

                          [000000f0] Name: BEIJING_BICYCLE 48 0 1 24 [30 00 01 18 ]
                          [000000f4] : BEIJING_BICYCLE 240 0 1 40 [f0 00 01 28 ]
                          [000000f8] Title: 2 0 0 0 [02 00 00 00 ]
                          [000000fc] Name: ING_BICYCLE 48 0 1 44 [30 00 01 2c ]
                          [00000100] : CLE 240 0 1 52 [f0 00 01 34 ]

                          ...

                          [00000200] Language_1 Strings BEIJING_BICYCLE BEIJING_BICYCLE e 1 Title 2

Seems as though the name at fc shouldn't be "ING_BICYCLE," and that at 100 shouldn't be "CLE."

Now I know that this already has a text data area - I am just using this as an example (since this is the DVD I happened to try the program on)...

i'll assume you mean "where it appears to be cut off" in first beta version I explained that above - in beta2 where it appears to be cut off is pointer to info on titleset 5 that does not exist.
