    illegal video file

I'm using Sonic MyDVD Deluxe 5.2 to capture the movie from VHS to DVD unfortunatly when burning it took me 5 hours for 1 hours movie length to re-transcode video file again then I decide to useTMPGEnc DVD Author import video mpeg-2 file it has been captured by Sonic MyDVD, unfortunately the program return an error of "illegal video file", even I tried to rename that files.

    Any suggestions, so appreciated...

This is strange. Sonic MyDVD usually allows for the capture of "DVD compliant" mpeg files that should be accepted by TMPGEnc DVD Author. What kind of capture card/device do you have, and what settings for mpeg files have you chosen in MyDVD?
