Has anyone been able to copy American Pie 2?

CAn anyone copy american Pie 2 to a dvd-r? I can not get ti down to a small enough size. I am also confused on how to burn vcd format onto a dvd-r disc so that it will play on my standalone player. If anyone has any suggestions I'd appreciate it.
    Thanks

Yes you can backup American Pie 2. Use SmartRipper to make a movie only rip to hard drive. Use IFO Edit to edit the video_ts ifo and vts_ox ifo files. Burn with your favorite software. A movie only rip is small enough to fit without any transcoding or trimming.

It didn't work fpr some reason

I used smartripper, and it made the movies 3.7 gigs. I used IFO edit to get vts sectors and then saved it as a bup and an IFO I think. It burned. Doesn't play. Where is the problem in the IFO edit?

            American Pie 2

Have been able to rip it, but when put onto DVD-R, it locks up after chapter 12?

I think IFO Edit did not correct all the sectors.

IS there a better software to do this?

easiest way i found is to use dvd fab express, use the movie only mode then go to the folder dvd fab created called dvd fab express temp and burn files from there with your dvd burning program nothing needs to be shrunk
