subtitles and Ulead DVD Workshop

Hi,

I have recently been trying to convert subtitles from srt to a format that works in DVD Workshop.. When I use subtitle workshop it misses off the last charcter on every line and also doesn't add the return in so the lines aren't displayed properly eg.

"How much longer are you
going to take to do this?"

will end up as

"How much longer are yogoing to take to do this"

anyone know how to rectify this?

I'm having the exact same problem. I don't think it's a problem with Subtitle Workshop because if you look at the subtitle .txt file it ouputs, all the characters are there. I think it *may* have something to do with the patch I just installed on Ulead DVD Workshop. Have you installed it, also? I'm going to see if I can get rid of the patch and see if it works then as I've not had this problem before.

OK, so I uninstalled the whole thing and re-installed from my CD (I did NOT apply the patch) and the subtitles worked out fine, so there is definitely a problem with the patch Ulead have released.
