DVD-R to DVD-RAM?

I created a DVD of various segments (DVD-R finalized). It plays fine but I now want to extract the material for another project. How can I rip the DVD back into the segments (separate chapters) that created it? I would prefer the ripped material be in DVD-RAM format but can work with DVD-RW if necessary.
