    newbie question

    I have some movies that are in avi format. when i burn to a dvd they are not clear on the tv. what format should i try to get to make them clear?

    Although there are many different programs available for editing, modifying, and filtering videos, it's basically not possible to significantly enhance the video quality of an .AVI...

          i mean downloading movies from friends. should i look for what formats.

              read the rules don't think it applies here. i am not downloading from kazaa or anything like that. movies my frineds have on xbox media center. they have different formats like .avi .mpg and things like that. just want to know what is best quality.

                If they are copies of commercial movies that you haven't purchased, the rules apply - regardless of who the source is...
