MyDVD >> DVD Shrink: Will this work?

I am new to dvd authoring/burning so I would like some advice on whether my plan of action will be successful.

I want to create a dvd out of home movies and photos. I am going to use MyDVD to create the dvd, including menus and slideshows. I plan on saving the dvd folder on the hard drive (which i was told will create the appropriate dvd files). The dvd ends up being more than 4.7GB, so I will use DVD Shrink to reduce the size, then burn with either nero or DVD Shrink.

Two questions:

1) Does this sound like a working process that will give me the result I want?
2) When I use DVD Shrink to reduce dvd size, will my menus and slideshows remain intact on the final disc?

1) Yes
2) Yes, as long as you are in Full Disk mode.

Thanks Mig$y. If I am in Full Disc mode, I can still use "Open Files" to browse to the folder created by MyDVD, correct? Just want to make sure that while in Full Disc mode I don't have to rip the files from an actual disc.
