    WMV protection pain

    hi
I've been downloading video files from a website that i subscribe to.
up until yesterday i was able to download either AVI or MPEG format. I usually download, convert and burn to DVD so that i can watch the content on my home TV rather than my monitor.

the site has changed its video files to only allow you to download protected WMV files, which i didnt believe would cause any problems until i tried to convert them into MPEG.

I have a few conversion programs and none will allow me to convert my WMV files

Is this normal? is there a way around it?

would like a few tips before i cancel my membership.

    thanks

Does the site state that you are making an UNRESTRICTED PURCHASE of videos, or is there a limited license involved (in which case, you are not entitled to convert it)?

nero vision is what i usually use to convert my WMV files and have never had a problem until now.

I will have a look at the site to see if i can find any restrictions.

        thanks
