MenuShrink version 2.4 - utility for shrinking DVD motion menus to still frames
I'm trying to use dvd shrink for the first time and am having problems
i ripped a dvd to my hard drive while waiting for some blank dvds to arrive in the post. I click on open file and when i click on the folder with the vobs in etc it says dvd shrink encountered an error and the system cannot find the file. Does anyone know what this means? and can i get around it? i can play the dvd files i ripped in the hard disc.
also does anyone know of an idiots guide to making or copying dvds? which freewear programs u can use? and if u do actually have to shrink the dvd files... am so stuck...
please help
TheLittle Angle, welcome to the forum.
You're posting in the wrong thread! This is the thread for menushrink, but your question is about DVD shrink (not quite the same program!).
If you look on this forum, you'll see lots of guides on how to use DVDShrink.
Check this by Cynthia for example.

@jeanl - I'm still using this great little program of yours that makes them big menus little and recommending it like crazy. It's just that I have not found any big menus to report. Or a problem with the program either. All my menus have all been 300-400MB and your program is chopping them right done like a champ.
Yeah, the records seem set now. Of course, you coukld cheat a bit and make your own very bloated menu system and then shrink. Still, I reckon that might not make the record books.
not so fast! I got an email yesterday from someone who went from 2650MB TO 16MB (Xmen R1), I haven't checked that yet, but if this holds, that would be the new record, I think. I'm surprised that no one saw that before! I'll update the page when I get back home in september...

I have the original R1 X Men and the menus are only 770MB. That one maybe version 1.5 that was released when X Men 2 came out.
