I bought a Panasonic LF-D311 (Rambo) DVD-R drive. The drive came with one blank DVD-R. I made a backup of a DVD movie onto this disc using the NeoDVD program that came with the drive. It plays fine in my DVD-ROM drive and my JVC XV-S60 standalone DVD player.
So I bought some Memorex DVD-R discs from best buy. They will play in my dad's Apex player and the DVD-R drive, but not in my DVD-ROM drive or JVC player.
When I put the disc in my DVD-ROM drive, the computer crashes and I cannot eject the disc until I press the reset button. Again, the first disc I made, the one that came with my burner, works fine.
Are there certain brands or types of DVD-R discs that are more compatible with DVD players/DVD-ROM drives? Do I need to do something differently when I burn a disc? I have tried UDF and UDF/ISO with no luck. Please help!
