    software for taking small portion of DVD movie

    So, please, any sugestions about what to use to 'cut' out portions of DVD movie and save them as .avi file to be later plyedback?

    You can use the Start/End feature in DVD Shrink. The tutorial uses an older version of Shrink, but the principle is the same.

      you can do as ger@co stated. then use virtualdub mpeg2 to convert to avi. If the dvd is on your hard drive you can load the vob/s in virtualdub mpeg2 and cut out the parts and convert to avi at the same time.

        One Long Night After

        After A Long Night

        What I did was take DVDShrink and cut with XP Chopper, BUT...... Since I need to have sub-title ON the scene it didn't work... I tryed to make DivX with Sub-title, but it is still separate file ( easy DivX used, .ifo file for subtitles). So let me re-fraze this....
        Please tell me how to take short portion out of DVD ( movie is on the disk) WITH sub-titles????

          You can accomplish this (after the DVD has been decrypted) by using FlaskMPEG...
