    meg with ac3 converting

I have been wondering if i can convert a mpeg with ac3 sound to a mpeg with mpeg sound.
Otherwise i wanted to edit the original in a progam that reads ac3 sound as being there.
Can it be done by either converting ac3 to mpeg sound or are there program that will se the video audio of ac3?

I would try to keep the ac-3 audio if possible. by mpeg sound I assume you meen mpeg1 layer2 audio. If need be their are several programs that will do this, one is stated above. I would de-mux the audio/video>convert the audio>re-mux the audio/video. d/l womble mpeg video wizard's free trial. it handles ac3

Demux in PVAStrumento, then edit in Cuttermaran, or
            Edit with Womble mpeg-wizard/vcr, or
Edit in virtualdubmod/ac3, frameserve to re-encode, or
Use a high end editor such as Pinnacle Studio, Premiere, or Vegas.
