How to record audio only?

I would like to rip just the audio track of a movie and burn to a CD for listening to in the car. Is this possible? If so, how?

but, this is how i'd do it:

1. rip with dvd decrypter

2. use "dgindex" to open the 'VOB' files, and save a project file (this should output the audio onto your hard disk in ac3 format)

3. convert the audio with a program of your choice (i recommend 'besweet',)

before converting the audio, make sure you download & install 'ac3 decompressor'

For a really easy to use program. I recommend trying out DVD Audio Extractor. It will rip straight of the DVD and make MP3's, WAV's etc.

DVD Audio Extractor is good but why bother? Rip with DVD Decrypter in IFO mode (see here) and demux (stream processing) the stream you want. You will end up with an AC3 stream you want. Should you need conversion to MP3 etc, use BeSweet with the BeLite interface.

I like it is because it saves time as it goes straght from DVD to MP3. It is worth it just to have that.
