    Audio capture fom Web.

I'm making a movie trailor for a contest and need to capture audio from show for it to be accepted. What is the best audio capture/editing software that can record directly from the web...
I know that this is dangerously close to piracy but I don't know how else to get the audio I need. I am not looking for free software, and do not intend to use the software for anything other than the contest and as a home editing tool. if this request cannot be answered due to forum rules I appologize in advance.

just curious, what sort of audio is it? i'm guessing its played on a loop?

anyway, there are many free tools you could use, though i've never tried them. maybe try here http://radio.about.com/cs/recordings...ordStreams.htm

    or here http://radio.about.com/od/reviewsofp.../aa062804a.htm

    or even here http://www.download.com/Streaming-Au...-2168_4-0.html

Hello - there is a VERY simple solution. A program called OpD2d (Opcode Direct to Disk) that is freeware. Unfortunately the site went off the web, so I am hosting it now - get it here:

Just install it like any other program.

Also, you will need a plugin in order to record in MP3 format - I do not host it but here is a link:

That is for Pentium 4 computers - if you have another processor with Windows:

If you have another system, let me know. Just extract this file to C://Program Files/OpD2d and it will let you record.

thx guys, I did run into that program with no page yesterday. thank you for the alternate link.
Anonymez- to answer your earlier question, the contest is on XM Radio Channel 202 (Opie and Anthony) 1st prize is a MiFi or a sit in one the show. you just create an action movie trailor with sound bytes froim the show.
And yes, there show is looped like sportcenter

So, what program did you use? OpD2d like I suggested? If so, it was no problem - I enjoy making people's life easier

yes it was and thx again. you made it alot easier. On a different note I just buried my old Sony 21" monitor today and bought a 19" LCD. this thing is incredible. still I do miss my giant monitor taking up 3/4 of my desk. what do I put on here now?
