re-authoring chapter separation question

Hello Blutach,
Where do I perform the instruction as Plugins-DVD Shrink-DVD Remote Macro Button? Is that to be done in the pgcedit window or do I have to go to plugins folder, double click on the plugins folder, and again double click on other sub-folder? Please help. Thanks alot, integra

Hello integra,

After open DVD file with PgcEdit, you will see Plugins on the Menubar (File, Edit, Trace...) Press Plugins and this will show all the plugins in the pluins folder. From there, as with blutach's advice, place your mouse pointer over DVD Shrink and click DVD Shrink Remote Buttons. A DVD Shrink dialog or window will pop up explaining what this macro is about. You just have to click Yes to carry on

There should be no subfolder in the plugins folder. You should put the .tcl files directly in the plugins folder, without creating a new folder.
If it's the case, you should see a new "Plugins" menu in the main PgcEdit window. From that menu, you can access all the plugin features.

Thanks for your help. After I placed all of my .tcl files under plugins folder instead of the sub-folder, I was able to see the plugins on main PgcEdit. I followed your steps as Plugins-DVD Shrink-DVD Shrink Remote Button, and I could see in the main PgcEdit menu on the left side, another line created as:
VMGM, LU1 [en]1 (dummy) TitleM
From it, what should I do next? Please help.

Nothing. The DVDShrionk remote buttons is automatic. Just save the DVD (2nd. icon in the iconbar) and test if it's what you want with a software player.

The TitleM line added in the PGC pane is there to allow you to use the Title Menu button. You don't have to modify anything.

Hello ROLZ, Bentbryant, and Blutach,
After all of the above said and done, here is what I need help for the next steps:
1)In my project directory, I have 3 re-author songs that I would like to make the DVD for it with separate chapters. It has 3 titles as following after I opened DVD from File menu in the PGCEDIT:
VMG,First-Play PGC
VTST 1,1 TTN 1 (5:24) Title 1
VTST 2,1 TTN 1 (4:15) Title 2
VTST 3,1 TTN 1 (5:41) Title 3
2)After the Plugins-DVD Shrink-DVD Shrink Remote Button executed, there is another line was added which located under VMG,First-Play PGC such as:
VMGM,LU 1(en),1 (dummy) TitleM
3)What should I do the next steps? save DVD or what?
If anyone who could show me all of the step to make my project sucessfully, I will very much appreciate for the help.

Read up. r0lZ, the author of PgcEdit has told you. SAVE the DVD (with Ctrl-S) and test it in a software player.

Hello all,
I am sorry for my dummy but after all of your help, I was able to get what I want to accomplish. Right now, I could generate those 3 songs DVD and able to jump to next chapter as I want. Again, thanks so much for all the help.
Can the pgcedit tool generate the title name with all of the song names? Please advice.

PgcEdit will only work with DVD Text but TitleWriter is what you want to use.

Sorry, I don't use TitleWriter but you should read the link and if you have a question about it, post one in that thread instead of this.

Pretty soon, we'll get you teaching the next "integra" about how you went about your DVD project.

I must have missed one of the requirements, but why isn't the easiest way to generate individual songs for re-authoring to use DVD Decrypter in Chapter mode?

Assuming that they are all in their own cells (very likely), using DVD Decrypter's IFO mode would work fine. Need to be careful of the seamless flag though (must not be set unless it is seamless).

i try all options to rip in stream processor tab and the only that works is choosing enable stream processing-demux.

as muxman don't recognize the subps,was used Rejig that can load the subps,audios and video
in the final the subps dissapear in the pc or standalone players.
the options to choose subps are there but don't show in the screen.

what i have to choose in decryptor's stream processing tab?
or what i'm doing wrong?....or forget decryptor's option using subps?

Hi jeo

You need to click on Direct stream copy and select the chapters and streams you want to keep. They will come out muxed.

Then, because there is no VIDEO_TS.IFO the easiest thing to do is create a new DVD in PgcEdit and then import the titleset you just ripped. Note that you will need to fix the cell table.
