re-authoring chapter separation question

using re-author mode in DVDShrink, select the desired chapters that give ifo,bup and vobs without break the head?

True - which is what integra did, except he couldn't chapter skip (until he applied the PgcEdit macro).

It's simple. First download PgcEdit from my sig. Also download all the plugins and copy them into a plugins sub-folder (make sure it is named this).

The load your project in PgcEdit: File - Open DVD (and navigate to the folder containing your re-authored project).

Then Plugins - DVD Shrink - DVD Shrink Remote Buttons.

came this new with 5 options:

options:
1) in my case,this option was working in my chapters,then was not needed to use.
2) give the "next" buttom working but
the chapter still running(no changes) and don't go to the final of this final chapter.
3) was working in my chapters,was not used.
4) as don't have title menu,was not used too.
5) this option was not used in this case(will be cool in other situation)

now help me:
the option 2 is what i needed to let the "next buttom" go to the end of the last chapter?
if your answer is yes,is not working here.
(kidding: maybe one advice in dvd label:if the next buttom don't work,you are in the last chapter.lol)

When you are in the last chapter of your Title, it will navigate to the next Title's chapter 1.

What the option does is input a 1 into Next PGCN Link's field and when you press your chapter skip button, you should go to your Title PGC's post commands. In turn, jump you to your First Play PGC and then your next title.

....i was unclear in details.
i have only one title with 3 chapters and

the "next" buttom working but
the chapter still running(no changes) and don't go to the final of this final chapter.

imagine that i have 70 chapters and in the last chapter the buttom don't stop the dvd.
how can i (or anyone)will remeber that is in the last chapter when the "next" buttom don't work?!?...and go back to the begining is undesirable!

stop is what i want when in the last chapter(with lots of chapters) using the next buttom.

have any solution for case 2COOL?

Use the stop button on the remote? If this does not work, then remove all IFO PUOps.

Otherwise, in PgcEdit, PGC - Enable All Operations will chapter skip to the end of the title in the last chapter.

If you are in chapter 2 of 70 and you want to jump to the the end of chapter 70, option 2 will not do it for you. The chapter skip button is doing what it supposed to do and it skips chapters.

Now, what you want is option 4. The Title button on your remote will skip Titles.

i did and burn(nero).
don't work in pc player with video_ts or dvd+rw.the next buttom now is grayed in the last chapter.
dvd+rw in standalone don't work too.

this thread is encreasing in posts and the problem remain.
can you test using only 2 chapters to play in your standalone(please) ?

Sounds like you have VOB PUOs, not IFO PUOs.

I did and it works for me. That is...

1. Using chapter skip button to skip to next title when in last chapter of current title. (Option 2)

2. Using Title Menu button to skip from current Title to next Title, regardless what chapter I'm in. (Option 4)

Why don't you just check everything?

Hello all,
After I finished my project and happied with the result, here is what I have observed and still needed some advice from fellow expert:
-the forward skip button on the remote control works very well to jump song to song in forward mode, but the backward skip button did not work. It only moved back to the beginning of the same song but not to the previous song. ie. if the song # 4 is playing, and the backward skip button is pushed, the player is only goes back to the beginning of the song # 4 but not song # 3 or # 2 if we wanted to.

Please help if anyone has any idea what I have done wrong.

The previous chapter button in many systems works this way. You often need to push it twice is rapid succession to get the desired result. Nothing to worry about.

The reason it says Title 1 would be that there are several songs in a single titleset. When you finally jump to a new titleset, then it should display title 2. Only if all songs are in different titlesets, would things be displaying incorrectly.

though there is no existing automated macro to do this, here is the manual way to do it. Courtesty of me.

When backed is Reauthored in DVD Shrink, it places all separate titles in there own Titleset. Thus, each Titleset has a Title 1 since, of course, there is only one Title.

Now, since every Titleset (VTS) has a Title 1, how does it differentiate between all? Simple, in VIDEO_TS (VMG), it assigns another set of Title 1, Title 2, Title 3, etc. to the Titleset titles in question. So Title 1 in VTS_02 is Title 2 in VIDEO_TS.IFO.

Please help if anyone has any idea what I have done wrong.
