Can VoBblanker cause Skipping of Video

I just burned a movie and found that the frames were skipping, 2-3 mins sometimes in one skip.

Can VOBblanker cause such problems, since I understand it rewrites the VOB's during its processing.

I burned that movie again this time not using VOBblanker but using only DVD shrink and no problems were found.

So now only two suspects are left, either Vobblanker is causing the skipping or the media is bad (I used different media second time).

Any suggestions!!!!!

I guess its the media, I have made 6 coaster out of this Box of 10 media from Fujitsu. Although I have successfully burned 2 boxes earlier of the same media without any problem, probably this batch is bad. Have to ask for replacement!!!!.

Verifying data always helps. As for media, I like to use Memorexes, those worked fine - an entire 50-pack with no coasters. Now dual-layer is a different story, but for the Memorexes, they are only about $20 for a 50-pack at most office supply stores.

Take care with Memorex DLs. I have burned only one of this brand, but the result was atroce. IMO, it's safer to use Verbatim (or some Philips DLs.)

I spoke to their Cutomer support and they have confirmed that they will change the pack and have given a support reference number for the replacement.(they got me to test some aspects of the Software & Hardware, checked their database if their media was compatible with both or not)

BTW, I always check out the results by playing it out and checking hte menus etc, but in this case since the media itself is bad, that didnt help me, I found out the problem only after I burned it.
