@jakobs, dialysis & nameless: looks like some bad frames at the start of the file. demux video & audio to separate streams with virtualdub using direct stream copy, making sure you set start & end points so that the first few frames aren't included in the selection, and try again

hey ben I'm the guy you responded to in the conversion/encoding forum couple days ago. I wasn't sure if you were going back to check on the thread I started but my response was that I didn't click on pal nor ntsc so why is my burned dvdr jumping when put in my dvd player? could it be that my source is deinterlaced? and so how would I know if it is or isn't?Comment

Guys, I recently lost my hard-drive and had to reinstall all my programs.I just tried converting an AVI file with AVI2DVD and got the following error:
"AVIsynth open failure:AVI source:couldn't locate a decompressor for fourcc xvid"
