I have a concert DVD that I would like to extract the songs from and burn onto a CD to play in my car. Can this be done? and with what software?
Thanks!
if the audio is ac3, it can be converted with 'besweet' (with the belight interface) to wav. use any audio cutting program, such as 'nero wave editor' to cut if you wish, then burn with nero express.

Wow! Thanks alot Columbo! I didn't really think it could be done. I'm going to the U2 concert next month and bought the concert DVD and I was hoping I could listen along while in the car.
O.K. I'm scratching my head. I followed the instructions exactly, but I am getting .vob files outputted instead of LPCM files. I feel like an idiot. I've done it 3 times already and still get .vob files. Can anyone help?
huskerfan, if your having trouble maybe you might want to try the last link there. from what i'm told it's a full trial and will convert right to mp3 for you.

try DVD Audio Ripper. It is a software DVD movie soundtrack ripper which can rip DVD audio to mp3 or wav. You can use it to extract DVD audio and rip DVD movie soundtrack to mp3 and convert DVD to wav with complete sound effects. Though it's not free, it offers REALLY excellent sound output quality. My girl loves it very much!
I really appreciate the advice already given. However, Columbo's advice was actually shareware and Techreactor's advice was for CD's only. I was curious if anyone knew of any freeware that would handle audio extraction from a DVD.
the last link i gave you is just that, better read it again

Got everything figured out, finally. See number 6 above. What I was doing wrong was that I was checking the audio only box but leaving the highlighted area on the video. So even though the video was not checked it was still highlighted and demuxing video files instead of audio. I thought by just checking and unchecking boxes it would accomplish what I needed. Thanks for everyone's patience!!!
