    VobBlanker Messages...............?????

I got the following messages from VOBBlanker after I selected Auto-blank on SW - Phantom Menance.

Is it only for information and I should carry on normally or do I need to worry about it and take some corrective action(like what ??)

How does it effect the final output and in what ways ???

Rip again, this time using multi-angled support (picking the angle you want to retain).

VobBlanker only works with disks without angles.

Blutach, can you be more elaborate in this and the ripping process for multiangles(perhaps you have a guide, I dont know of !!!).

By the time I read the reply to my post I had already done this :

        - Blanked out the disclaimer cells and the not required promos etc.
        - Menushrinked it.
        - Shrinked it.

On the desktop I can see the results similar to the DVD's without the multiangle(where I dont get these messages). I will burn it on the DVD-RW and preview.

BTW, what errors or discrepencies come in processing these multi angle DVD's, so that I can lookout for them while viewing.

        Thanks!!

EDIT: Got it!!!, it plays the initial story telling in all languages before moving onto the main movies!!!, but how to rip with multi-angle support and discarding the ones not required ???

The angles are still there. However, since you have done much post rip processing, use IfoEdit to strip the unwanted ones out and retain only the angle you want (probably angle 1).

I wanted to try it out from scratch so I ripped again using decrypter and Multiangle setting - Angle 1.

This process is NOT clear to me, IFOedit creates a new DVD structure from the source...and retains the VOB's that are seelcted.....right ???

Also how to determine beforehand that a DVD contains multiangle VOB's???.

IfoEdit has a new destination folder that it outputs the VTS you are working on and VIDEO_TS.IFO/BUP. After that you copy/move all the other (non-processed) VTSs into the destination folder. Nothing is destroyed.

I have no idea why VobBlanker complained - the rip must be bad if it can't find NAV packs.

To see beforehand, just have a look in IFO mode in DVD Decrypter. Alternatively, insert the DVD in the drive, open it in PgcEdit (forget about all the warnings) and look at the title PGC (double click on it) and look at the cell flags.

Do I need to select "Strip VOBID's" and/or "Strip Streams". Since the " "destination directory" does not get enabled if I dont select VOBID's and if I select VOBID's it prompts me for a set of streams(VOBID Nos) to select, what should I do in these steps??

Strip VOBIDs but keep them all. Select Remove ILVU/Angle Point and select the angle to keep.

It does not work, IFOEdit starts processing from VTS_06_1.VOB wherein the Angles are in VTS_06_0.VOB

Let me still check by copying the rest of files manually......

The angles can not be in VTS_06_0.VOB - that's a menu. Let it do its work.

Unfortunately, thats true, VOBblanker still shows Angles in the VTS_06_*.Vob and that too at the PGC# 1 in the titleset.

Then your strip has not been successful - try again. Tick strip VOBIDs. Tick Strip ILVU/angles. Accept what it suggests (in the next screen you are keeping the ones that are ticked) and let 'er rip.

I'll check back in the morning.

After my days stint and struggle to figure out how to remove these angles from my movie I am finally successful (thanks to blutach for his rapid support). So here are my findings (so that you dont rip the movie 2-3 times and use Vobblanker/IFOedit 4-5 times, just to figure out the right steps )

                            - DVD decrypter doesnt work with the angles properly, even if you use its Multi-angle setting ( atleast this time it didnt). Even if it gives no error, you cant use the ripped output with Shrink or VOBblanker. Its wont give the desired results even after the processing.

-IFOedit works but you have to use the right settings (as I realised) below :

                            - Also just accept the streams IFOedit suggests dont fiddle with the selection prompted to you by IFOedit.

                            - Remember, once processed vobblanker will still give you warning as per my first post and you will still see more than one angle in the PGC's, but you need to watch out for the size of the movie(it will decrease with the angles removed). You can also preview it and wont see the other angles now.

(Dont go by the Skip(under action) here, this screenshot is before I selected it to process (and I am too sleepy to take it again now ) , SKIP should be read as Process )

Rest, use the vobblanker and menushrink in similar way that you do!!!.

PS : I used a stable version of IFOedit and not the newest.
