@nwg I did read the guide that you posted especially the part about the layer break thank you but you are right I have a little bit more confidence with Dvd Shrink so I went that way.@jmet followed you're guide easily thank you I now have a 8.123GB iso.I dragged & dropped every menu & title individually and I left the remove layer break unchecked. So now I take it that I choose which way I want to burn probably Dvd Decrypter and cross my fingers or should I let Dvdd read the iso first and then burn?

I don't know if this helps but I put both through MenuShrink before going to Dvd Shrink but a warning came up on the first file and because I was dragging & dropping everything and it asked if I wanted to continue anyway I said yes but I wasn't in re-author mode then I was just redoing the first file.Nothing came up when I had both files in re-author mode.does this mean I should have only dragged titles over.Last edited by soup; 23 Dec 2005, 10:09 AM.

You can only drag and drop in reauthor. Shrink cannot work with menus in reauthor mode. That is what DVDRemake is for (including menushrinked menus).
What you can do is play each DVD title after each other using reauthor. There is a dvdshrink plugin (on the pgcedit website) that allows you to make it possible to skip straight to the next title. Then, set a layer change, and create a ISO in Pgcedit and then burn.

There is a freeware solutiuon, but as nwg says, it is anything but simple. http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=99306
Other ideas might be to include Titlewriter by fallenangel

Thanks for the additional info blutach. You guys know this stuff from memory wow.I do thank you but with my experience I am not even going to attempt that my head would explode. Thanks jmet for your guide.I should have known better pointed out by nwg because when I normally use re-author in shrink to just take the main movie I don't take the menu's.So I have two good guides and a choice to make. The only thing about PgcEdit is I have it but I have never had to use it touch wood even for normal back-ups not even the wizard so I know this is going sound stupid but I wouldn't even know how to bring the files in to get started.I know there's guides in the forum so I am going to do some reading and then make my decision. Thanks again for all your help.I still can't get over it you guys know this from memory!!!

To import the files in Pgcedit just select "Open DVD" by the file menu or by the icon. Then go to the folder where the files are.
I myself only do simple things with Pgcedit as I don't have the need to dop anything else. I also haven't had the need to use the Arcoss plugin yet.
You may want to look the rest of the guides for Pgcedit when you are ready.

I am sorry to be such a pain on this and if I have missed something again I apologize. If I go through shrink obviously I lose the menus re-author make one iso burn with DvdD or ImgBurn.I know there is more to it but I think That's the basics.Or follow the steps and bring both original files after DvdD into PgcEdit keep the menus and create one iso then burn.Or no matter what I do I have to go through Shrink and create one vts file for PgcEdit.I don't know if this makes any sense but I guess what I am asking is can I go directly to PgcEdit and not use Shrink.I am trying to save the menus if I can if I can't Que Sera Sera.PgcEdit needs vts files I can create them with Shrink with or without re-author can't I.Last edited by soup; 24 Dec 2005, 10:20 AM.

Just thought I would give a progress report oh and by the way this forum must have really got to me because I have been tweaking this thing for a while till I got it to where I want it.I have the disc and bonus disc back-up to one file.Shrink compression reading before making final file 78.9%.So now on to PgcEdit & blutach's dual layer burning guide.Oh I did put the first of two files originally made into PgcEdit and it was interesting to see the dummy sectors DvdD had put in.Merry Christmas nwg, jmet and blutach.

Need help following blutach's guide dual layer burn with PgcEdit.PgcEdit won't recognize my file path to Mkisofs.exe through ImgTool Classic.Tried as much as I could nothing works.Even downloaded through PgcEdit came in to my program files as classic_0.91.6 which is what I already have still did not recognize it."Stuck"I don't know if this means much but I thought I would ask.Checking out Mkisofs/properties I noticed it is set for compatibility Windows 95.Choices are Windows 95/98/Me/NT 4.0 (service pack 5)/2000.I have Windows XP Pro v 2002 (service pack 2).Does this matter?Last edited by soup; 26 Dec 2005, 04:49 AM.

I downloaded Imgtool classic and I use this path and set it the same in the burn setup.
C:\Program Files\Classic_0.91.6\mkisofs.exe

Fixed that problem nwg but thank you.I now have another one and I think it is because things screwed up at the start. Now I think what I have to do is start with the clean file but I don't know how to put it back to pre PgcEdit.Do I just delete the PgcEdit back-up folder? What's happened is that I have gone through the steps and PgcEdit says it can't find a suitable cell to place layer break.Merry Christmas.
