Frame capturing

Hello folks,

Been a while....

Quick question: How do I save frames off of DVD's? I need certain frames for t-shirts I am going to make.

I only had a need to capture frames once for my sons birthday party.
I downloaded Intervideo WinDVD7 they give a 30 day free trail.
It seemed to work great to take still shots for making T shirts and other decals for a tables cloth. Here is a link where you can get it.

I am not sure if there is any freeware for this there may be.

Most software players allow you to capture a frame. As well, the preview mode of PgcEdit allows you to capture a frame as a bitmap easily.

=> preview => preview pgc => BMP button

i prefer virtualdubMOD for the job though

1. load vob in vdMOD
2. use slider/keys to go to desired frame
3. video => snapshot source frame
4. choose decent format like png or bmp for the t-shirt purpose
(png for web display)

Right click on the PGC and select preview. Move to the frame concerned. Click BMP. Save where you like.

One more thing....I have been having trouble burning movies after I have used DVD Decrypter. Everytime, which I use Nero to burn, it says the files are funked up.

I bring this up under this thread cause I had to decrypt my movie before I used PGC. Because the show/movie was encrypted.

Work it good

So I couldn't directly upload the DVD to PGC. SO, I had to use DVD Decrypter. Now, how do I access those VOB files of mine so I can start chopping up frames? Are there tutorals for this so I am not wasting everyones time?

Also, where would my Nero burn log go if it has been awhile since I last tried to burn?
