    Menu hidden

I have a DVD where when starting playback, the main movie starts to play immediately without going through menus. Menus are available on the disc and I can use them if I navigate to them with Media Player Classic.

How can I reauthor the DVD so when starting playback, menu is shown before the main movie?

This is the structure of the DVD:

    VIDEO_TS.BUP
    VIDEO_TS.IFO
    VIDEO_TS.VOB
    VTS_01_0.BUP
    VTS_01_0.IFO
    VTS_01_0.VOB
    VTS_01_1.VOB
    VTS_02_0.BUP
    VTS_02_0.IFO
    VTS_02_0.VOB
    VTS_02_1.VOB
    VTS_02_2.VOB
    VTS_02_3.VOB
    VTS_02_4.VOB
    VTS_02_5.VOB

Menus are located in VTS_01 set and main movie is located in VTS_02 set.

Thanks for your help and please don't bash me if this has been asked before. I'm a newbie when comes to DVD authoring.

Hi Eddie Welcome to the forums!

What you are asking requires somewhat of a learning curve. You can use Pgcedit's jump to PGC function to go straight to any part of the DVD on insert. I don't know of an easy process to achieve your goal.

Thanks for your answer. I downloaded PGCEdit and there are lots of stuff I don't understand LOL

Is there a universal way of doing it, or does it depend on DVD itself?

      Thanks!

No, the PgcEdit method works for all DVDs (unless you find a bug! )

First, you must locate the PGC with the target menu. You can use the preview or the menu button viewer to locate it. Then, set a pre/post breakpoint on this PGC (right click on the PGC in the left pane.)
Now, you have to use the Trace function to go to the menu. Click on the ->>> Run button, and let the trace runs until you reach the PGC with the breakpoint. Since there is a breakpoint, the trace will stop automatically.
Now, just call the Jump to PGC function. The rest is automatic.
