if you take the vob and run it thru pgcedit and change the audio 0 (DD 2.0) to audio 1 and audio 1 (dd 5.1) to audio 0 as the default, then remove that vob from the folder (with the ifo and bup files) to a compilation, do you still end up with what you started with in that individual vob. do you end up (after going thru the vobedit joining files, making new ifo files with ifoedit, then the mock stream so shrink will open) with some vobs in the compilation as the 5.1 (audio 0) and some with the 2.0 (audio 0) ???? from my limited knowledge of authoring, I get the feeling that just using pgcedit and changing the 5.1 to audio 0 won't get the job done in the compilation of vob files as chapters. is this correct? any way to just make all DD 5.1 the default, no matter if it's in audio 0, audio 1, or audio 2? ----if this is the case, if you use pgc edit on the compilation to change audio 0 to audio 1 and audio 1 to audio 0, aren't you just reversing the 5.1 and 2.0 defaults in the compilation (where some had 2.0 as audio 0 and some had 5.1 as audio 0)? hopefully this makes sense. thx
? about the default audio from 0 to 1 and 1 to 0 in an edited vob.

Changing the audio stream positions from 0 to 1 changes nothing in the VOBs.
Say:- 0x80 is 2.0 and identified as stream 0
- 0x81 is 5.1 and is identified as stream 1
To make the 5.1 your default, PgcEdit has a very nifty utility called Jump to PGC Upon DVD Insert. This is very smart in that it allows you to "play" the DVD to your main menu (for example), then select the audio menu, select 5.1 and go back to the main menu. It then will allow you to start the disk with those exact settings in place. No need to swap streams in the IFOs.
