    Multi-movie Dvd & Titlewriter Crashing

    Hi

I just used DVDSHRINK 3.2 to do a movie compilation with 3 movies.
    <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>
Now I want to add back the scene/chapter menus back to each movie with TITLEWRITER.
    <o></o>
I also want to create my own Movie Selection menu (the first thing that the DVD should play) giving me the 3 movie choices.
    <o></o>
I did notice the screenshots in TITLEWRITER guide looks nothing like mine:
    http://forum.digital-digest.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=49227<o></o>
    <o></o>
My TITLEWRITER is version 2.652. When I open TW2.652, I don’t have the option for normal or automated mode. I just get what you see in my screenshot 01.
    <o></o>
As you can see, I got NO Set-Up, NO Menu Template, NO Menu Choices, etc.
    <o></o>
I load my compilation from the same location where the DVDSHRINK output is.
    <o></o>
I clicked on the MENU/TEXT button to get the Menu thing. I don’t intend to do any DVD_TEXT stuff!
    <o></o>
At first, the log reports DVD Does Not Contain Menu which is true. Thus, each VTS_Title 0X says No Menu which is also true.
    <o></o>
At this point I got lost. So I double click each VTS_Title 0X & open their relevant VTS_01_.VOB from separate folders (still on my hard disc).
    <o></o>
I highlighted the first Vts [VTS_Title 01] & click on the smiley menu button. This is the point that it crashed; see screenshot 02.
    <o></o>
So just want to do a few simple things in TW2.6:
    a) put back each movie’s original scene selection menus
    b) do a movie selection menu (starting from scratch) giving me the 3 movie choices
    c) make sure the [back to] main menu link/button/function on each scene selection menu leads to the movie selection menu
    <o></o>
Where do I really start? I only found that guide for v.2.0 mentioned above.
    <o></o>
<o>Also having problem downloading the TW menu templates.</o>
    <o></o>
Previously tried the PGCEDIT-VOBBLANKER-DVDREMAKE PRO route but messed up there too! Will go back to this one day though!

    #2
    Download Newest ver.
Avoid Automated mode (Via dvdshrink icon) -- Until you understand the interface

The smilyface is to fix navigation in menus that are currently in compiliation -- The crash was caused because you Hadn't added menu's at that point(TW Should have just ignored you --This is a New Bug -- Will Be fixed)

A few notes: TW does not allow you to pick and choose amongst internal menus in a selected vts

You must be able to access the simplemenu folder at the download site (Since you Downloaded TW)-- menu templates are there

Okay -- First the guide Cynthia made is for an old Ver. really does not apply
in the TW folder you downloaded there are .rtf files -- Study them

What you are trying is not simple at all --But can be done
You are starting off using TW at the most complicated level
    1. Open DVDShrunk compiliation in tw
    2. Click Text->Menu shortcut til you see Select Menu to add to compiliation
    3. Click the first line
    4. Browse to Tw Simple Menus --Menu4Movie -- Open it (This is your movie selector)
    5. click the second line -- (This is the first DVDShrunk Movie) - Browse to the vts that contains the Menu for that individual movie (In its ripped folder)
    6. Repeat last step for each movie (Except the 4th Vts--Entry will be eliminated later)

    Click Add Menu
    Click Menu Is Generic
    Click Save Changes

If playback/navigation problems inside menus -- Happyface the individual Menus (VTS's) -- Guide Happyface.rtf

Once you get it playing -- Even though the navigation behavior (Main menu (Generic) will probably lead to start of movie) and may not be exactly what you want then Talk to Me in this thread
