Man. I gotta start paying more attention to the guides and faq's here.

I didn't understand tho, why you don't keep the English 2 channel?



While I was stripping away, I noticed the Supictures Tab. Not knowing what "Supictures" are, I thought I better leave this be til I read up some on this.

But I couldn't stand it! I unchecked all but the English and the unspecified (25). Don't know if I screwed anything up yet. I haven't previewed it yet. Had to get here and tell ya.

If you dont have a hometheater system (5.1 channel) and dont plan to buy one, you can only keep the 2 channel audio and save more space (if you are compressing later on). You can keep the AC3 audio (5.1 channel) as most DVD players can downconvert them to 2 channel for playback on stereo systems. So make your pick.

The subpictures are the subtitles that you see while the movie plays for eg. french subtitles for an english movie. So keep the subpicture language that you understand and speak and you can remove the rest but Dont remove any forced subpictures.

A couple of things:

1. ALL players downmix Dolby 5.1 to 2 channel.
2. Don't just keep the 2 channel. Oftentimes it is the director's comments. Listen first!!!!
