VBlanker Kills Movie

The movie is The Nightmare Before Christmas.

I ripped with R4Me, all fine. PgcEdit, all fine.

I loaded in VobBlanker and got this message...



The VTS that contained these cells was The Main Movie.



I went ahead and processed and (of course) when I tried to play the movie, there was nothing to play.

Could I blank these cells in PgcEdit so VBlanker won't do this. And if so where would I look?

As you found out VobBlanker doesn't support multi angle DVD's (its only one real weakness). Pgcedit has indeed have a kill playback command which can then be removed totally by using FixVTS again.

Don't forget that RipIt4Me also has movie only and movie and menu modes.

Why are you using VobBlanker anyway. The output from RipIt4Me is as cleasn as it gets and VobBlanker won't help any further.

And the movie is not killed - you just used a different output folder to the input one. In this case, everything marked skip is not processed to the output folder. Tick Use Input Folder to keep everything together, irrespective of what is processed.

Or, as nwg as suggested, either use RipIt4Me in Movie+Menus mode or use PgcEdit to remove the cells from the IFOs and then with any PGC highlighted in a changed domain, use Tools-FixVTS (current domain) to process the changed domain.

I was only using VobBlanker for the Strip function. And I would have blanked the multiangle cells with PGCEdit if I knew where to look. I was afraid that if I left these cells in it would screw up the movie.

Could I delete the angles as you suggested here?...

Yes, if you really want to process the titleset containing the main movie with VobBlanker, you have to remove the angles before. You can do it with PgcEdit's Del Angles function, as explained by blutach.

If you want to strip some audio and/or subpic streams without removing the angles, use DVD Shrink. Shrink cannot remove the unreferenced cells, though.
