How To Choose Wide Screen or Full Screen ?

I ran into something for the first time...

A movie with the choice of full or wide screen.

Title 1 (blue) is wide and Title 2 (yellow) is full screen. Titles 4 & 6 (orange), I don't know...they both look the same. I'll leave them be. They are just previews.

Now, if I want to get rid of one of them (wide screen in my case), do I Create a new blank VOB cell for all PGCs in Title 1 (blue), or Kill PGC playback of all PGCs in Title 1 (blue)?

I know under some circumstances (that I can't remember) PgcEdit won't let you kill playback of a PGC.

Easy - Place cursor on Title 1 (the unwanted WS) and press Ctrl-Del. Select kill playabck when safe. Save. You can do the same with title 4 or 6 (both will be blanked).

Alternatively, rip with RipIt4Me in Movie+Menus mode.

I did get a little over zealous tho and killed the whole domain. That's when I ran into probs. It wouldn't stop at the main menu, just went straight to the movie (I like keeping the main menu in to get situated and stuff).

After several hours of fiddling with the commands (and cursing a lot), I kept getting one of two results. I either created an infinite loop or make it just go straight to the movie.

I finally used the Run function in Trace Mode and found out that for some reason it was jumping to the main menu PGC in Title 1 (The one I vaporized) instead of going to the one in Title 2. The one I was Keeping. So I put those back into Title 1 and everything works peachie.

Strange structure don't ya think?

Not sure what you did, but do be aware of the Jump to PGC on DVD INsert function of PgcEdit.

In the beginning days of DVD creation, Blockbuster used to make it very easy to choose from full screen or wide screen. Wide screen was on one side of the DVD disk and full screen was on the other side of the disk.
