sony architect v 2.0

I have sony's architect authoring for dvd program. I am unable to select in preferences the ability to burn to a dvd-9 disc. It only shows the choice of either 4.7 or 3.9 gig disc. What am I doing wrong. is it the software version is to old? Or that I installed the sotware before gettinga dual layer burner?

my friend has the sane version on his pc and it does the same.

Unfortunately, one of the weaknesses of DVD Architect 2.0 is the lack of ability to burn DVD9 or create DLT masters. These features are only available from DVD Architect 3.0 or newer
