    Help with DVD Architecht 3c

Hey there I'm new to the Forum but not new to editing. I'm having a bit of an issue trying to burn a DVD on my new Dell system. I thought it might be hardware but I am certain it isn't. I get this error when I try and burn a prepared DVD. Does anyone know why?
    'SFMMCX'-(17)
    'atapi'-(1)
    -'TSSTcorp DVD+-RW TS-H653A D300'-(0)
    Module sfmmcx.cpp Line 1376
    A hardware error occurred.

    Specific: 00 00 00
    Extra: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00

I have a brand new Dell with an AMD 64x2 Athlon 5000. I have two Dual layer DVD Burners at 16x (one is factory the other is a samsung 16x, both are sata drives).

Thanks for any help you guys can give.

Yeh sorry about that, DVD architect 3c

I went out and got architect 4 (updated after the install) and I'm getting the same message.

The prepared files are shared on my network and my older workstation (HP) can burn the files no problem. The only thing I can think of is that the software has compatability with either both burners (what are the odds?) or just SATA burners.

      Anyone know?
      Thanks

i beleive your specific problem is due to your network... When sharing large files over a network it can cause some issues with stability... I am no expert on this topic (due to my current major being software engineering not networking) but just for craps and giggles try burning some kind of dvd on your physical drive instead of grabbing it over a network. If i misinterpreted the problem sorry, but then i lead to option #2: Try using Nero and Alcohol 120%. Write a Disc image of the DVD w/ Nero then use Alcohol 120% to mount the DVD. I have found if you just use nero to mount you can encounter skipping on the dvd.

Well I have do do a workaround. DVD architect does not support the burner.
                Thanks for all your help!
