DVDRMP Insignificant Errors?

Don't worry. A PrevPGC link pointing to itself is perhaps illegal (although there are still open discussions on this subject), but it is a fact that it doesn't hurt the players. This link is even necessary for some players, if you want to be able to go back to the beginning of the PGC with the Prev Chapter button of the remote. PgcEdit sets this link if you use its Enable All Operations function, and, as far as I know, it has never caused problems. -
I asked dimad about this once and he believes that Prev/Next is not legal in the menu domain.

That's certainly not true! There are many commercial DVDs with Next PGC links in menus. However, I'm still not sure it is legal to have a Prev/Next PGC link pointing to itself, and maybe the PrevPGC link only is illegal in the menu domain. And it is certainly illegal to have a Prev/Next PGCN pointing to a PGC belonging to another TTN in the title domain. (In other words, you can use them only in not-one_sequential titles.)
Anyway, those links are not causing troubles to the players. In the worst case, a player could ignore them.Comment
-
IMO, you can safely leave them. As I said, if your player is somewhat picky, it will simply ignore them.
BTW, do you know if those links were also present in the original DVD? Have you used PgcEdit or VobBlanker?Comment

I think I found the culprit.
I opened DVD in DVDRMP right after ripping with RipIt4Me... No illegal links.
I opened again after editing with PgcEdit... No illegal links.
I opened after processing with VobBlanker... Got Illegal Links.
I think it may have have something to do with VobBlanker options...
Should I uncheck them?
EDIT:
I did get this error after just running PgcEdit on another DVD...

The title next/prev is perfectly legal. I have the ones for menus unchecked. But as r0lZ says, it may be harmless anyway.
However, why anyone would want this in a menu, I dunno. You want to be under the control of the buttons and that's all in a menu.

You're right, blu. It might even be dangerous to set those links on menu with infinite still times and no post commands, as the DVD will be stopped if you press Next Chapter!
However, in some case, it can be useful to set the NextPGC link to be able to skip some intros or studio logos. IMO, it should be made manually. I have unchecked the 4 options, although it is safe to leave them for the titles.
Idontno, I can't understand what's the other problem with your screenshot. Anyway, PgcEdit doesn't change the commands unless you explicitly request it yourself. What did you with PgcEdit? Have you removed the root menu of VTS 2?Comment

Just for info:
My policy is to set PUOps in all menus (via PgcEdit's PUO plugin) to 192. Where there are intros and outros (I rarely keep the latter), I author an invisible button with Link Next Cell (intros) or Link Tail PGC (outros). That way, it's always a button that makes something happen and I don't have to hang around for stupid intros to finish.

It's a good method, with the advantage that you can use it always, and I use it often, but I prefer to enable also the Next Chapter button whenever possible.Comment

OK, I understand. Since this title is uncalled, its commands are never executed. So, it is right that a command points now to a non-existing PGC, but it doesn't hurt. You can, if you wish, remove all commands of the uncalled title, and DRMP will not complain any more.Comment
