Is there any way to add chapters to a movie that doesn't have them before using dvdshrink? Thanks

Better to use VobBlanker to split cells (adding chapters as you go). ChapterEdit has limitations, especially for PAL DVDs.

That's an euphemism! ChapterEdit has severe bugs! Do not use it with PAL DVDs!
VobBlanker is perfect to do that. (Use Split Cell.)

IMO, you should add a little note to explain that the cut can be made only at the beginning of a GOP, and therefore that it is not always possible to select the right frame accurately.
