PgcEdit plugin to enhance the authoring of compilations of titles

I have implemented a new method to jump back or forward to the previous or next title in the DVDShronk plugin for PgcEdit. The new function is called "Enhance and fix authoring", and has been inspired by the discussion in the TitleWriter thread.

It is possible to use the Root Menu, Title Menu, Prev Chapter, Next Chapter, Go Up and even the Left and Right arrow buttons to jump to the previous or next title. The Prev Chapter and Go Up buttons can optionally also be configured to jump to the last meaningful chapter of the previous title.

Of course, the DVDShronk bugs when there are 50 or more titles in the compilation are also fixed.

It is theoretically possible to use the new function to enhance any compilation, made with any program, as long as there is no menu (or the menu can safely be deleted) and all titles are standard sequential titles.

I would appreciate some feedback and bug reports. Thanks!

EDIT: Latest version is DVDShronk_plugin v2.5beta3

      Thanks as always, r0lZ

LEFT and RIGHT ARROW buttons option is surprisingly wonderful.
LEFT and RIGHT ARROW buttons work fine with KMPlayer.

They should be compatible with all players, as they are implemented using standard menu buttons (BOVs.)
        Thanks for the feedback.

Which button exactly does not work in DRM?

In trace mode, the cells with buttons should be displayed in the menu viewer automatically. Use the arrow keys like on a real remote.
However, PgcEdit doesn't display the very short cells (less than 1 sec without cell still time) as you are not supposed to be Superman. You have to build a test DVD with some real cells, or set a still time on the short cells.

              DVDShronk_plugin v2.5beta2

As suggested by FallenAngel, I have added the UP and DOWN arrow keys to jump back to the last chapter of the previous title, or to the post-commands (and therefore to continue with the next title, or to exit at the end of the DVD.) I have also changed the behaviour of the ENTER key: now, the current title is restarted.

This version has not been much tested, but it should work.

[EDIT: URL removed. See the first post of this thread to download the latest version.]

                Thanks for new plugin.

I like its feature using ARROW buttons.
Its method which uses button and auto-action is basically same as DVD2one's "AdvancedNavigationMode"(from ver.1.3), and much improved.
It can everything of jumping to title and chapters comparing DVD2one has only left/right.

                About trace mode

However, PgcEdit doesn't display the very short cells (less than 1 sec without cell still time)
The menu viewer seems not to be shown in trace mode for me, though all cells are over 7 sec.
(Buttons can be confirmed by "Show/Edit Menu Buttons or BOVs".)

                Regards.

somehow it has a problem, if i press left. i keeps on looping the cells and commands, i keeps playing the 1 cell over and over and over.

                  Edit:
BTW, a similar thing happens with TW remote buttons stuff. Not very similar but it does the wrong navigation. and stuff.

r0lZ, the buttons you add, are they only supposed to be in the first cells or all cells?
because in the latest version the first title has buttons in 3 cells, and the other titles have buttons only in the first cell.

I misunderstood the feature using ARROW buttons.
I agree the method FallenAngel proposed,
Left arrow --previous ch same as |<
Right arrow -- Next ch same as >|
                      Up arrow -- prev title
                      Down Arrow -- Next title
and thought similar to it (just inverse left/right and up/down).
But I noticed to be different.
Is it difficult to do FA's popose?

                      Regards.

                        Thanks for 2.5beta2.

I ticked only "Enable the ARROW buttons". (Other settings were DVDS* default.)
LEFT, RIGHT and ENTER worked fine but UP and DOWN arrows did not work fine.
UP and DOWN buttons seem not to be added correctly.

                        Title 1 (20 chapters) -- 5 buttons per cell
Title 2 (7 chapters) -- 5 buttons at only the first cell but 3 buttons at the other cells
                        Title 3 (3 chapters) -- 3 buttons per cell
                        Title 4 (1 chapter) -- 3 buttons

Hum, strange. I will verify that. (I did my tests mostly with very short cells!)

Seems it's a DRM bug. Will verify that...

tetsuro_ja, having only 3 cells seems even more strange. Can you check the "Disable Arrows" option? It should remove all buttons. Then, retry "Enable Arrows". Thanks!

No, it's not difficult, but IMO it is more natural to use the left and right arrows to navigate between titles. The up and down arrows are just "bonuses". Don't forget that the buttons are (or should be) added on all cells of the title, and IMO, it doesn't make sense to return to the last chapter of the previous title when, for example, chapter 4 of a title is playing. This is what UP does, but I really thing that the more "natural" arrow, LEFT, should return to the beginning of the previous title.
But maybe I can add a checkbox to swap the LEFT/RIGHT and UP/DOWN buttons.
