DVD to DVD-R?

I just bought a new Gateway 700XL which came with a DVDRAM/DVD-R 4.7GB Drive. I am totally lost on how to copy my DVD movies. Can someone please send me a list of software and instructions on the process? I am LOST!!!

appropriate software.

I have tried SmartRipper, IfoEdit etc. based on the instructions;
they do work.

The alternative to SmartRipper v2.41, is DVD Decrypter v3.1
available from www.dvddecrypter.com
