    Help with home video?

Hi there im trying to edit my friends wedding video where there is alot of wind in the background. The files that im using are vob files burnt from my video camera through a dvd recorder. Ive been able to mute the audio but need to keep the vowels but they are back by wind also.If anyone has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.

Some friends took a carribean "wedding package", their professional dvd had the same problem, even with a tripod cam and better mic. I wonder if using a mixing board to filter the audio by frequency would work when moving from the cam to the dvdrecorder?
