Program Recommendation...

I'm a total noob at joining & creating DVD's from scratch.
I have 5 .vob files that I need to join and transfer to a DVD
that will start automatically when inserted into the player.

Is there a program that I can use for this?
If so, is there a step by step guide for it?

Your VOB files should have come with IFO files which automatically start the DVD.

Let me echo Blu's sentiment ... "Welcome aboard" ...

Fugly, if you have NERO ... use NeroVision Express in Make DVD Video mode ... this will let you to add all VOBs, edit each, join them, create a menu and then output to DVD ... it should be quick and painless.

I've got Nero, however I think there's a few glitches in the files that need
to be figured out. Tried to join them into one congruous movie, but there's
some skipping and audio dropouts still left. Will have to work those out as
well. I'll have to say, this one has been a learning experience for me.

Thanks for the "Welcome". I have had the site in my "Favs" for awhile,
but never had a real problem that I needed to post until now.
I should be thanking you guy's for all the interesting reading material.

Well, finally figured it out.
The .iso file would play great on the pc,
but when I burned it to a r/w DVD for testing it
would skip and jump around to different frames.

I ended up opening the .iso with winrar (yes...winrar)
and copying the 5 .vob files to another folder, then using Nero
I imported the .vob files and made another image.
The resulting image burned fine and played great.
Wow...what a pain in the ass.
