    Changing the Frame Rate???

I tried to import an .AVI segment downloaded from YouTube with Save2MyPC
into Ulead Video Studio 6. But UVS6 wouldn't accept the segment, probably because the segment has a frame-rate of 29 fps, and UVS6 seems to accept only standard NTSC frame-rates (23.976?).

Is there a freeware utility available that lets you change the frame-rates on .AVI-format digital videos?

    Thanks for any hints!

I can't speak directly about frame rate conversion on AVI, but I know you can change the frame rate on TMPGEnc basic and Plus and the replacement software versions to anyone of the three rates NTSC at 23.976, 29.976 and PAL at 25. and then encode down to 4.7gb.

Just load the AVI video d2v file and the output will be video m2v file at the frame rate you want. You should be able to use other software programs to convert back from MPEG 1 or 2 to AVI.
